Toscano Bridal Real Bride : Carly
Carly and Liam's elegant beach wedding was celebrated in style with friends and family at Kingcliffe, Northern New South Wales, late last year. Carly approached me to create a custom gown for her special day. The white lace and layers of organza proved to be a perfect combination for this beautiful beach wedding.
Bride: Carly
Groom: Liam
Wedding Date: 14th November 2014
When and how we meet?
Liam and I actually met over 10 years ago at a party through mutual friends. We got along really well from the start and became really close friends, however for a number of reasons (ie. both of us being in long term relationships with other people, me moving to the UK for a few years, etc.), we didn’t actually get together until about 5 years later (and, we’ve obviously been together ever since J).
Style concept for your wedding:
Rustic Chic, combined with a bit of the beach scene.
Inspiration for your wedding:
Good question?! I really can’t pinpoint one source of inspiration, however I did a lot of online research (so to speak) on Pinterest, Instagram, etc. Plus there are a few celebrities who I absolutely adore (ie. Jodi Gordon and Rebecca Judd), so I guess I may have subconsciously taken some inspiration from them in certain ways.
The best advice I was given:
In terms of the actually day, I was told by numerous people of how quickly it actually goes so the best advice I was given was to try and stop throughout the day as much as I could to take it all in and to enjoy each and every moment.
Our Hen’s night:
My Matron of Honour actually held the Hens party at her place. There were about 30-40 of my closest friends and family who came along. We played a few games, whilst the champagne and cocktails were flowing, before heading out and dancing the night away. It was a fabulous night and we had an absolute ball – although I must admit my memory is a little sketchy of the finer details J!

My gorgeous Matron of Honour actually made our wedding cake – a three tier cake with a salted caramel layer, a white chocolate layer and a milk chocolate layer – it was an absolute piece of heaven!!! She did such a fantastic job, in both its appearance and also the taste – we were extremely spoilt J
